I always think choosing your hair style and bridal make up look is one of the biggest and hardest decisions that a bride has to make in preparation for her big day. As I'm such a fan of bridal styling I love anything to do with both of these subjects, and I know you do too, so I'm keen to share with you some top wedding styles and make up ideas from Julie Podbery, the creative mind behind Jules Makeup Artistry & Hair Design.
Half Up Half Down & Pretty Bridal Makeup
This is a classic style that does not ever date and is a great option if you like a soft feminine look and works great with dresses that are corseted or off the shoulder. Teamed with a pretty natural glowing makeup, pinched cheek look and natural lip colour with a subtle smoky eye this looks really pretty together
The first thing I do once a bride has decided to book with me is to send a questionnaire regarding hair and skin condition.
I can then advise on hair products and skincare in the lead up to the wedding trial and send any samples of any products to trial before investing in anything new.
Getting your hair in optimum condition for your wedding day is one of the most important things you can do. Hair sprays and styling can disguise some things but for the style to have longevity throughout the day the condition of the hair and volume and colour has a bearing on this.
It is really important to come to the trial consultation with your hair in great condition too. The reason being, the trial is a template of your wedding day. A lot of brides want to see how it will really look. In my experience, this has not always been the case and therefore the bride cannot visualize how it will really look on the day itself.
Some fab products that I am now offering to my brides which I have been able to try to get the hair in great condition are from the Monat Range which is being launched officially on 1 May 2018 in the UK. I cannot wait to use this range fully on my brides. The results are amazing and have caused a storm in Canada and the USA already.
I offer my brides a course of facials in the lead up to the trial appointment using Monu Products. These are also beautiful products and the bride has the opportunity to use these products in between treatments.
Charlotte Tilburyhave beautiful skincare products which radiate through into the makeup for a natural and pretty glow.
Getting your skin looking and feeling good is one of the most important aspects for the makeup.
Obviously the skin is also a reflection of your diet, so good nutrition and drinking plenty of water is another thing that will dehydrate and plump the skin naturally.
