My name is Paula Goldstraw and I am both a dressmaker and designer. I have a wealth of pattern cutting and dress making knowledge which will enable me to create the style of dress to suit you.

I offer a free consultation, and because I enjoy my work so much, I have a very flexible time-table as to when we can meet. Just call and make an appointment.

I am not just a creator of Bridal dresses, I cater for the bridesmaids, mothers of both bride and groom, and even guests. Also, evening wear and prom night dresses can be created. I am developing my own range of these.

Most brides will have an idea in mind, but find when they get to the shops something is not quite right with the styles they try. The top may be a nice style but the skirt is wrong, and vice-versa. The back of the dress may be zipped but you wanted a tied back. These are all problems which can be solved through having your dress made personally, to your own specifications.

When you come to your free consultation you will bring any ideas that you have in mind with you, we can then discuss your ideas and look at samples of possible fabrics to match your ideas, and those you have for bridesmaids. Following the consultation you will be sent a design sketch and a quote for the work involved. This quote is the final price, there are no hidden extras, no alteration costs, due to the dress being designed specifically for you.

There is no obligation unless you wish to have your design created.

A toile or sample will be created for you so that you can check the style on yourself instead of just imagining it. Once you are completely satisfied this is the dress for you, we can begin to make it in the actual fabric. You will see your special dress being created, for your big day, from start to finish.

Prices vary depending on the amount of work required.
If you have ideas of your own we can discuss this and create a pattern uniquely for you or you can choose from my increasing range of designs.

Alternatively, I can make a dress from a pattern you supply from a retailer, with materials of your own choosing if my fabric samples are not what you require. This is subject to agreement.

Bridesmaids are from £100.00 age 1 to 13 years.
Adult bridesmaids and prom dresses are from £150.00
Ring cushions from £19.99 (ring for a price list and design ideas)

The price list is approximate, all dresses depend on the amount of work required and the price is agreed upon by both parties before work commences.
